Why can't i scroll in sheets using my fingers (like I can on other web pages) on a touch screen device such as the Surface Pro 4?

Smartsheet is a web-based application, and as such has differences from normal websites. Currently, we don't have finger gesture based scrolling functionality built into the computer browser version of Smartsheet but I've added your vote for this to our enhancement request list for further consideration.

You should seriously consider it. Your "web based application" is annoyingly difficult to use on touch enabled laptops like the Surface Pro without the keyboard.

With windows 10 now being more prevalent I would vote for this enhancement too.  Google web based apps seem to work well, but not smartsheets.
