Conditional Logic for Header fields in Forms
Hi all,
With the new update to Smartsheet forms, we are able to add conditional logic to designated fields within a form. However, I noticed that while you can set logic to only populate designated fields when a certain option is selected, the headers of the fields that are NOT designated under that logic still appear on the form. Is there a way to make headers disappear as well according to conditional logic?
Thanks,
Grace

Hi Grace,
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to use the logic on anything that isn't in the sheet, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment
I hope that helps!

+1 for this feature. Renders headers basically useless if they are not tied to the same logic as the subject form field...
-
I agree - I have to use headers to give direction for each section. We've had to use google forms which is not our preference in order to use logic. Now that Smartsheets has logic we still can't use it. I will also submit a request.

The logic option for input fields is great, but is needed for headers also. We use forms for the daily operational check of equipment. Based on the equipment selected, certain categories do not apply and I would like to hide the category header along with the fields. Leaving the header is messy and leads to too many questions about the "missing" fields.

It's been a year since the last post on this thread, however, I'm running into the same issue today.
It's currently not possible to add the header to the Logic path. This leaves the ones filling out the form confused as to why there's a random header with no fields below it.
Submitting enhancement request now!

Hi @Shelby
Our Product Team is working on it! The release of Conditional Logic for Headers has temporarily been rolled back, but our team is working to update this soon (see the Release Notes page on this, here.)
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hi @Genevieve P
Thank you much for the update

@Genevieve P. -- Any update on this feature since February? I hope to create a display logic for headers in my form. Thanks!
-
Never mind. The request for display logic stems from the field that initiates the logic, not the item you want to display as a result of the logic. Other applications have you set it up the other way around, but I see it now. Thanks!

I'm glad you were able to get it to work! Let me know if you have other questions about conditional logic and I'll be happy to help. 🙂
