Anyone else have rows moving in their sheet?

Hello all,

Just curious if anyone else has had the same issue I'm having and if there's a solution. My company has a master production sheet in order to track Job Orders. Our setup is a parent row which has all the header level information of an order and then the children rows added in are work centers that have to accomplish a task related to that job. Our workflow usually follows the same format; Crib, Saw, Machine, Assembly, QC, Shipping. When a team member initially enters in an order the children begin in that format top to bottom. It seems that the longer the order stays on the sheet the more often these rows "jump around". they never leave the parent-child structure so it is not a huge issue, but it would be nice and aesthetically pleasing if the rows would just stay in the same position they were entered in.

Anybody else have this problem? Tips or advice?

    Hi,

    Is the sheet getting sorted?

Have you looked in the Activity Log for clues?

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic week!

    Best,

    Hello Andree,

Above is a screenshot of what an order generally looks like for us. The assigned to column from top to bottom follows the order of real life milestones for work centers. All this gets entered in by a production planner and then they hand out paperwork and the assigned work centers accomplish a task and fill out there completion %. We have found that these rows can move throughout the life of an order. Information remains the same but the shipping row for example might be up at the top below PO Recv'd row. It doesn't really hinder anyones daily tasks because they are still getting the information but it would look alot better if the structure just stayed the same all the time.

The rows shouldn't move by themselves.

Did you take a look at the Activity Log for clues?

It seems like someone is moving/sorting the rows manually.
