Total Duration in hours in parent row does not reflect underlying Input data in children rows

Please assist

I have set up my project plan with actual duration input in the children row. The parent row is calculating the total duration, I assume, based on the start and end dates. How can I set the parent row to calculate on the underlying input ...please see screenshot

Try switching to 1h and 0.5h and see if that helps.
