Adjusting chart date range

Hello, I have several dashboard graphs built from summary reports with rolling data compiled from a sheet my team uses to track productivity. right now we are capturing all data since we started tracking. I'm trying to figure out a way to limit what it displayed in the chart to lets say only this month. however when I go to the reports these charts are built off of to Filter criteria to the date im looking for, it does not yield any results even though there are results for this month. I was attempted to filter by the "Created (System Column)" which should be the date the data was entered but it does not seem to be working. Is there an additional Summary Count for dates I need to create or formula I'm missing? Can't seem to figure this out.

You can create another sheet instead of a report and use cross sheet formulas such as

=COUNTIFS({Other Sheet Status Column}, "In Progress", {Other Sheet Created Column}, AND(MONTH(DATEONLY(@cell)) = ##, YEAR(DATEONLY(@cell)) = ####))
