How do I automate an import data from CSV so that I get service tickets for my team based on priorit
Hi All:
I would like integration of our Helpdesk system with a Smartsheet file (i.e. Team Task List by Priority template).
The Helpdesk system is our database of service tickets that my team will need to work on and resolve.
Having the capabilities of Smartsheet such as team sharing, update requests, and card view would greatly enhance and improve our service management.
What do I need to learn, and where do I begin?
Thanks for your help!
Dan

Hi Dan.. I would suggest you contact the Smartsheet design desk. I would suggest right away that you start using a web form for new ticket requests to flow into your sheet.

Automation and Smartsheet are not compatable except through a third party app that has access to smartsheet via the API.
Having said that here is a manual process that you may not know about:
If the CSVis a Download from your Heldesk you could import it into Smartsheet (Save CSV as Excel first)
Ensure Coresponding columns are named the sam in the Excel File and the Smartsheet and then select all imported Rows in the New Smartsheet and Move them to the Existing Smartsheet
See this article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504748-moving-rows-columns-cells#moverownewsheet
Alternativly have the columns in the CSV in the same order as in your smart sheet and Copy(Ctl C) from the csv and Paste (Ctl X) into the smartsheet.
Use Keyboard shortcuts as Smartsheet does not work with the same clipboard as Excel.

Are you using a specific help desk program (like ZenDesk https://www.zendesk.com/), something custom built internally, or using Help Desk (www.helpdesk.com)?
There are automation tools that can help the integration automation.
I prefer Zapier (www.zapier.com). Other more expensive options I am familiar with are CloudPipes (www.cloudpipes.com) and Azuqua (www.azuqua.com).

This may be an option for you, however there is an additional cost.
No as yet used it or reviewed it so cannot recommend specificly but may be of use.

Hi Dan,
Smartsheet just released a new add-on called Data Uploader that might help.
Please see the attached link/screenshot for more information.

I hope this helps you!
