Making sheets "Talk to each other".

Is there a way to copy lines from one sheet to another, and have information on the second sheet update the first without having to link all of the cells?

For instance, if I have a data sheet I am using for tasking members of the team, main sheet copies a task line to the team member's sheet just fine, but then if the team member updates, it does not reflect on the main sheet unless I individually go in and link the cells.

Also, can I lock a column in the team member's sheet so that it can not be changed... e.g. a due date.

Hi Robert,

Yes, there is.

You can use the copy-row automation and a combination of VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH to make it work.
Yes, you can lock a column, but the team member would need to be shared as Editor or lower.
