Formula that does i=i++
Hi
For those that are familiar with programming, I would like to know how to create a formula that does i=i++, in other words
I have a column with a drop down list ( State 1, State 2 and State 3) In another column I want to count how many times the State 2 is selected, when people go back and forth through the 3 states several times
Thanks a lot

Yes, it might be some work initially, but you can hopefully use it for multiple processes.

Hi @Oscar Velandia,
Are you trying to keep a history of how many times something was selected? If so, the only way to do it is with cell history. Right click on the cell and view cell history.
I hope this helps.

hi @Ramzi
Yes, but I need the number, for me it is useless to see the cell history if I cannot have how many times as cell has taken a particular value

Have a look at my post here.
You could maybe use that method to get the information you need.
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I understand what you meant and thanks a lot, but it is quite a big work @Andrée Starå around just for a counter... I'm gonna explore your idea because it might be helpful for some other things I have
Thanks
