Add members to a group in bulk
Hello -
I have over 100 users I need to add to a group. I don't want to add them individually. The users are in my Smartsheet contacts as well as the User Management Admin screen. I have gone into the group and copy/paste the list of emails from excel and also tried from CSV. It tells me the email addresses are invalid but I know they are all good. I am sure I am missing something with the format. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Jeni,
You should be able to copy and paste the full list into the Add To Group form directly from Excel... just make sure that all the email addresses are listed in a single column (see here).
If you can confirm that the email addresses are valid but you're still getting that error, please reach out to Smartsheet Support with screen captures the excel file you're using so they can look into this further.
Thanks!
Genevieve

This process worked for me:
Clicked the Account icon in the upper right
Clicked Plan Info
Clicked Group Management
Searched for my group
Clicked Edit Group in the pull-down menu
Clicked Add to Group
Then and only then was I able to paste my list into the Add to Group pop-up
In my first attempt, I tried the following but I could *not* get it to work:
Clicked the Account icon in the upper right
Clicked Group Management (without going through Plan Info)
I hope this helps.

Thank you so much. I was actually on the phone with Smartsheet help desk. I was able to recreate my issue and then show him how you did it. He determined that it did not work in the new admin center view. The help desk is creating a ticket as the functionality is not working in the new admin center. But we can still make it happen the old way. Thanks for the insight.
