Custom sorting

HI - Anyone know if it is possible to create a custom sort in smartsheet?

Example, in column “Title” I have the following values:

·      Assistant Professor

·      Associate Professor

·      Instructor

·      Professor

If I sort by title ascending the titles appear as above. I want the titles to appear in rank order so it would be:

·      Instructor

·      Assistant Professor

·      Associate Professor

·      Professor

Any idea if that is possible and if so how?

@Tanya Brooks you could make a helper column that assigns a number to each title and sort by that.
