Alert for when an expiration date is within 30 days

Hi, I currently have an Expiration Column date, and I need to set up an alert for when the expiration date is within the next 30 days.

I browsed the forum and noticed someone had a similar ask, and was told to insert another column with this formula - =[Date Column]@row - [Days before reminder]@row

Is there another method that wouldn't require the use of formulas?

Yes, there is another method where you can use a Workflow with the Trigger, When a date is reached.

Try something like this.
