Need to be able to change Start and End Dates (linked to predecessors) on a report

I see that this topic was open last year, but the thread was closed quoting a workaround--add the duration column to the report and have users modify it to get the desired end date. My project plans need dependencies enabled but I also need users to be able to change the dates in their "My tasks" view. Is there a way to allow this functionality?

Hi @Niyati Kumar ,

It's still not currently possible to change End Dates directly from a Report with dependencies enabled on the source sheet. Start dates that don't have Predecessor values listed on the row can be modified from a report but if you're using Predecessors on a row, the only way to change the Start and End date at this time would be to change the Duration value. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend submitting a Product Enhancement Request for making Start and End dates fully editable from Reports as it's possible we may see this implemented in a future release down the road.
