When I Send an Update Request, Can I Automatically Include Row Info in the Email?
Hello,
In a sheet, when I click on Send Update Request for a row, the email which is automatically generated is often vague. Is there a way to automatically display Project Name (for example) in the Subject or Message portion of email?
I know I can create a form and automatically pull in Project Name (for example), but can this be done with a Smartsheet (i.e. not created by a user) function such as Send Update Request?

Yes, that's true. You can only change it in the Automated Workflows.

Hi @RonPB
You could use an automated update request workflow and combine it with placeholders.
You could trigger it with a so-called helper (checkbox) column.
Would that work?

I think that might work for us.
Just to confirm, I can't change the email template generated by Send Update Request, true? ...I can create my own workflow and use placeholders, etc.
