We need to simplify our alerts and notifications - we have way to many.

As we have grown over the years, from a 4 person team to a 20+ team, we need to rethink how we use this features. (alerts, reminders, update requests, comment alerts, @mention emails) It can be overwhelming at times for certain roles in our company. We just have too many. Does anyone have a good system or resource they can offer to help us rethink our strategy?

Thanks...Jef

    Hi @Jef Forward

Good morning. Sometimes updating Smartsheet processes equates to overall business process improvements, including individuals' work habits. Using Dashboards can be a great way to to stay updated and could reduce the amount of alerts. The team would need to get in the habit of pulling information from the Dashboard, rather than having information pushed to them. A happy medium of both can work well.

That probably didn't specifically answer your question. Maybe post a little more detail on some of your biggest pain points and the community here can help you start chipping away at them. Do you have a Vizio chart or workflow diagram that you could share?

Matt - thank you very much for your answer. I like the connection between pushing and pulling information and how a dashboard can facilitate this. Our smartsheet system has grown into a complete front to back solution, including the use of the control center, so a workflow diagram here would to much to share.

Is there an article you can recommend about using a singular shared dashboard that pulls information for the unique user? Thanks!
