Cross Sheet Index Function Error

Can anyone help me to rectify the error as I am using cross sheet Index

function in Smartsheet to extract some information, while doing this I am facing the error that we can only reference a total of 100000 cells. Is there any way If we want to update multiple columns with the help of other sheet just to avoid the manual updation.

I would suggest using a column on the source sheet to JOIN columns on each row then use cell linking to pull this joined column over or possibly modify your formulas to just point at this one column.

Hi Paul thanks for the reply can you please give me an example, I have 2 sheets I need data in sheet1 in the field Expected Book date corresponding to DSA which is a unique id in Sheet 1 from the Sheet 2 reference is Deal ID. I need to pull the expected book date from sheet2

How many different sheets are you pulling data from into your main sheet?

Only one Sheet Paul Sheet1 is the Main sheet and data to be pulled from Sheet2.

If you are only pulling from Sheet 2 and a single column, you should not be encountering the error of referencing too many cells.

Maybe the issue was that the references needed to be released.
