Regular project updates
I have a sheet and want to automate a request to assignees to provide an update at the same time each month.
How can I do this without a due date and a formula driven checkbox or flag that would trigger the request?

You can do this with an recurring update request via automation.
I've posted a quick video on how to set it up here: https://www.loom.com/share/6c775b093b4a4b7283cf1f8548bc70bd
You can see an example in Smartsheet here:

Hi @Casey DuBose (Jalubro Consulting) ,
Thanks so much for the response and the video that made it super easy to understand what to do.
This wont work as it is triggered when a 'date is reached' in your set up.
Having the date column was not part of my plan as in theory I would need to have a date column for every month and a separate workflow for each month? Unless I am missing something.
My sheet is simply a monthly update report on rows where row assignees neeed to update it durig the third week of each month. So the trigger if any is the third Monday and they have until the follwing Friday to provide the update.
If you have insight as to how I can achieve this it woudl be great. Thanks for sharing again.
Cheers
Phil

Hi @Casey DuBose (Jalubro Consulting)
I looked over your response again and apologies as the custom set up is the solution I was looking for. Thanks again.

HI @Casey DuBose (Jalubro Consulting)
I was looking over your video of how to set up the regular update request. My next question is how to stop if defaulting to 'Owner'. This is because I need it to go to the 'Lead' that is a second contact column in the sheet but this does not show up.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks
