VLOOKUP Based on Name and Date

Hello,

I am having some trouble with a query allowing me to look up values based on the name of an individual AND within a certain date range.

The data table is weekly updated with new values, and has multiple fields, including name, date and comments.

I need to pull a comments field, based on name and date.

Could you use an if statement to determine if it is within a date range and then if true apply the vlookup here is a rough interpretation

=if(and(first date range field< Date, Second Date Range Field >Date),vlookup(Name Field, Vlookup range, # of Column, False), “N/A”)

Try looking into an INDEX/COLLECT.

=INDEX({range to pull from}, {1st criteria range}, 1st_criteria, {second criteria range}, 2nd_criteria), 1)
