Creating a community forum through smart sheet

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to smart sheet and was wondering if Smartsheet is able to be used to develop a type of community forum / discussion board within smart sheets? Like could we develop something similar to this Smart sheet Community and have it accessible through a portal? If you have any helpful resources, that would be greatly appreciated. I just got through watching the intermediate explanation of portals from 2018 Engage event.

Good question! We were thinking it could be to be used as a means of allowing organizations to share their lessons learned / feedback/ comments different organizations we partner with. Similar to this current thread

It wouldn't look the same as this community, but you could leverage the Conversations function in Smartsheet to start threads of discussions based off of one row.

For example, you could have a Form embedded on a Dashboard (portal) where someone could fill out a question.

Then you could also have a Published version of the sheet where the form submits embedded in that Dashboard so that users viewing it can see all the different questions submitted (as one-per-row).

Should someone wish to answer a question, they can go to the sheet and comment using the Conversations feature. This will also allow for @mentions so users will receive email notifications when someone tags them in a comment.

Just a few ideas!
