Is it possible to have a report that is editable by people who dont have access to the source sheet?

Within the company I work for we have a source sheet with all our projects in.

We need to be able to enable external (sub contractors) people to sign a report which auto fills information into the source sheet. (check boxes) This is so we have an audit history of them accepting projects. However, we not not want them to be able to see the source sheet with the full set of projects that don't apply to them.

Is this something that is possible, if its not is there an alternative?

Is there other information in the Report compared to the Source Sheet?

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

Hi,

There is only data coming from the source sheet.

The source sheet shows our whole order book for all of our projects and has a lot of sensitive information. Within the sheet there is a column that we need people to tick. For internal staff this is not a problem as they are allowed access to the sheet. However, external staff are not allowed access this as there is too much information they are not allowed to see, but we need them to tick the box so that we have an audit history of them accepting projects.

If this is not the best way of doing this please could you advise otherwise.

Ok.

I'd recommend either using the Update Request feature or linking the information to another sheet with the help of cross-sheet formulas, and then they can either check the box in the second sheet or in a report showing the info from that sheet.
