Smartsheet is very SLOW today

    I wanted to set the record straight about the incidents that caused a number of customers to experience access issues yesterday. As this thread reflects, the partially complete explanation caused confusion and frustration. Apologies for that.

     

    Here’s what happened:

     

    Due to a technical problem at our primary network provider, Smartsheet's application, as well as a number of non-Smartsheet websites and applications, were inaccessible to our users in specific geographic regions for a period of time yesterday, Thursday, January 26.

     

    If you were among those who were impacted by the outage from this provider, we're sorry that you were unable to use our product. Note that our senior executive team will be reaching out directly to customers who were impacted with a formal apology.

     

    Smartsheet remains committed to delivering a world-class experience for our users and to working only with business partners who share that same commitment. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure we can deliver on that goal.

    Smartsheet is VERY SLOW - Especially if you use Formulas - we had a sheet built for us using several Paid For design desk sessions by Smartsheet and when we tried to use it the sheet ground to a halt

    We were told that it was a Browser issue - too many formulas for the browser

    Rebuilt it in Google Sheets and no issues - works very smoothly so the issue appears to be with Smartsheet

    BTW they have refused to refund the design desk sessions used to have the sheet built

    Hundreds of $$$ down the drain 

     

    It also appears to be slow periodically on different computers with different browsers

     

    - we never experience those issues with other software especially sheet systems like Excel and Google Sheets

     

    - seems like there is some kind of known issue with smartsheet that they dont want to talk about??
