How to display a date from the sheet
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have experience in making a date display in a date format within the Sheet Summary. I have tried to use ISDATE, DATE, and DATEONLY to no avail. I am creating the dashboard for this sheet. I want to display the Kick Off Call Date but I cannot get the date to display
These are my results
I want the actual date to display.
I also tried to just use =[Start Date]1 but got #Invalid Column Value

Have you selected the Sheet Summary field to be the date type?
Was that it?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic day!

@Andrée Starå Thank you for your feedback. I believe it is set up that way. I have used some of the stats from the Sheet Summary in designing a dashboard. I wanted to display the kickoff call date but its not as easy as it seems it should be.
On a side note you know the Today function when using it to display the current date for example when the 100% complete is selected the completed date updates with the current date. I used the Today function but now I notice that everyday the dates update to the current date. Is there a way to where the completed date would remain in the past if the 100% complete was updated in the past. Does that make sense???

Happy to help!
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Regarding the TODAY function. Yes, it will always update to the current days (TODAY) date.
Please have a look at my post below with a method I developed.

Your post sounds like it might be the remedy. So I have to create a copy of the sheet to do it?

Excellent!
No, you don't need to make a copy of the sheet.
I'd be happy to share an example.
Please send me an email at andree@workbold.com, and I'll share it with you
