I don't beleive there is any conditional logic that you can wire into the form. Ya got what ya got.

Create the Webform using Google Forms.
Start with the Google Form and select Smartsheet as its Data store. As you create the google form using the conditional branching it will create the requiref smartsheet.
You cannot attach a form to an existing sheet. It has to be created by the Google frm

Does this:

mean you can't have two forms attached to the same sheet?
I missed that when playing around with Google forms a while ago.

Like you its a while since I played around with it so I do not know the difintive answer. It certainly needs to create its on sheet, but wheter you cn then copy the form and edit it I do not know.
