Sender's name in the Automation mail
Hi,
I have sent an automation to trigger a mail after the workflow is approved.
The mail sends my name in the NAME via Smartsheet <automation@app.smartsheet.com>
How I can make it avoid it or make it generic?
Would appreciate a quick response.

@Prajna Jain - you are correct that Smartsheet has not yet acted on this request by multiple customers to either return the functionality to how it was in the past (only a generic name) or provide the ability to make it a generic or specific name.
Please add your voice to the thread so Smartsheet knows it continues to be an issue to be addressed.

The link failed to give exact answer to my question from the link you have provided.
I could just conclude that this is under consideration for Product Enhancement request.
Is there any workaround is possible let me know.

Unfortunately, no, there isn't any other workaround that I know except the ones in the linked post.

Dear All,
I am having the same issue: As the person setting up all Smartsheet processes, it seems like all automated email notifications come from mem personally - which is absolutely incorrect.
I see the product enhancement request is 2 years old.
Is there a workaround that I can use today?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds
- Add another account (licensed), name it System Alerts or similar, and update the Workflows so the new user is the owner.
Make sense?

I spoke with a representative today about a problem similar to this.
I have a worksheet with the owner being the individual I assigned it to. So all the workflows and automation should be coming from her email address.
Today some emails went out from my email address instead of hers - which isn't good because people are responding to me (the creator) instead of the person/owner who needs the information.
After speaking to the representative, apparently when someone (me) goes in to update a workflow/automation and the system forces a new scenario - then the email goes out from ME instead of from the owner! And there is no way to fix it.
This is something I absolutely can't have as I need to work on the system while she utilizes it. I'm hoping desperately this can be changed ASAP by Smartsheet!
