Excel exported data doesn't align between comments tab and primary data tab, is there an easy fix?

I am exporting data from Smartsheet to Excel and the Comments tab row descriptor doesn't align to the correct line item it is commenting on in the previous tab. Is this something Smartsheet can fix as part of the export to Excel process? Otherwise you cannot tell what comment belongs to what data row except if you add in a column to the data to correctly and proactively redefine the row count.
