Creation date column that breaks

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with a sheet form and I can't find a solution on the community.

Here is the use case : I have a sheet with a "creation date" column that is automatically generated. I added a form, and each time I fill up the form that creates a row in my sheet with the creation date that is automatically populated.

Therefore somestimes randomly, the creation date column "breaks" and becomes empty, and changes its column type from "creation date" to "date".

I don't succeed to identify what action is triggering this issue.

The problem is that I have some automation based on these dates, and when the problem occurs the automation doesn't work. I am not aware of the column breaks except if I go directly to the sheet.

Do you know if it is a well-known problem and if there are some ways to get around it ?

Hello,

The support team told me that the column was breaking because I use the data from this column in other columns with formulas.

So I created an helper column that transform the creation date into a date column, and then I get this value to do my formulas.

Unfortunately I just found the problem was happening again today, even with the changes I applied.
