Has anyone tried WorkApps yet?
I am about to dive in and try to build one on top of an existing solution that merged multiple template sets together. I'd like to debut it Monday morning, so just looking for feedback and helpful tips. I have gone through the site with a fine tooth comb and found all the learning, training, specs I could- but most of those never beat personal experience. I will share anything I learn during my experiment :)

Hi @Cat Werbeck
WorkApps is still in Preview, so it's great to hear some of your feedback about this new feature. It would be helpful to have some of your comments provided directly to the team that created the Meeting Management template - would you mind filling out the form in the "Getting Started" guide? Thank you!
To address some of your questions:
1. The reason only certain people may be showing up in the "Add People to Role" dropdown selection is that currently the user both needs to be a licensed user and a part of your plan in order to collaborate in your WorkApp.
Keep in mind that you can still share unlicensed Smartsheet users to the underlying sheets/reports in Smartsheet, if you want them to have collaborative access to some of this data.
The Help Center article for WorkApps (see here) outlines the collaborative capability in the menu to the right.
2 . This template set is based on one specific scenario; it's expected that you may need to update this for your own process, whether that's adding sheets to this WorkApp or creating multiple WorkApps for different teams.
The way you will want to configure this depends on if these managers/meetings should all be in one place and all users should have the same permissions across the teams/meetings, or if you want different views and sharing permissions depending on the team.
You could create a copy of the initial sheet for the second type of team/meeting and add it to the same WorkApp. Then you just want to make sure this sheet is selected in both of the related Reports in Smartsheet, so that your reports pull through data across both meeting sheets, not just one. You will also need to configure the dashboard to look at both sheets, as well, such as adding in new Metric Widgets which are looking at this second sheet's data. Let me know if this makes sense!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hey @Genevieve P I did spend a lot of time with the materials, videos and anything else I could put my hands on. With some help from the customer support team, I was able to get through my first couple of hurdles. I have provided some feedback via the form on notifications and a few other things I've noticed in working with it more. But thank you so much for the follow up, I appreciate the guidance!
