How can I link a form in a dashboard?

I want to add a link to a form in my dashboard. I cannot copy and paste the URL. I cannot add it as a widget shortcut. I tried to choose it as a "smartsheet item" when adding a shortcut but cannot do that either.

It helps if you expand on what you are trying to do and what feedback the system is giving you. Some questions to answer:

• Are you trying to embed a Smartsheet form or to a form on an external website?
• What are your permissions on the form and the dashboard?
• Are you getting an error message, what is the message?

Assuming you mean a Smartsheet form, here is a short procedure. It is a good idea to start with the form open in another tab.

1. Open the dashboard.
2. Choose Edit.
3. Choose Add Widget
4. Choose Web Content.
5. Switch to your form tab.
6. Copy the form url.
7. Switch back to the tab with the dashboard you are editing.
8. Past the form URL
9. Press OK.

By the way, when I went to post this, I found there was a system message that the feature is unavailable. You could be experiencing a system problem. It is a good to check and make sure all systems are go:

Embed a Smartsheet Form 

Use the Web Content widget to allow others to make submissions from a related form without having to leave the dashboard.

To embed a form:

1. Open the sheet that has the form you want to embed in your dashboard.
2. Click Forms > Manage Forms. 
3. Copy the URL link to the form.
4. Navigate to your dashboard and select Edit > Add Widget > Web Content.
5. Paste the link into the Web Content field.

So, this is close to what I wanted but not quite. Unless I did something wrong, it puts the whole form in the dashboard instead of just a link to the form.

Hi,

I am late to this thread but I have added the form URL to the dashboard shortcut but if we copy the dashboard (as part of a project management template workspace) the form URL points to the sheet in the template and not the newly copied one and new rows get added to the template sheet... Any way we can do this so that the URL points to the new sheet when it gets copied?

I'd like avoid asking my users to manually change the URL after copying the workspace

Unfortunately, it's not possible now to have the form link be dynamic, but it's an excellent idea!

I have the same issue as William had, except that when I try to copy the URL and paste it into the dashboard shortcut widget, it doesn't allow me to paste anything there. Is this because I have the basic plan, Business Account? Or am I doing something wrong?

Is there a limit to how many times you can use the same form link or how many places you can post it? I am trying to put the same form on 4 different dashboards. Three seem to be working, but I can not get the fourth to work?
