Why can't Dashboards be sent out like alerts

I would like to auto send out a dashboard on some schedule, like every Monday. This update would be a PDF of the dashboard and a link to the dashboard. This will help drive traffic and allow me to push the information instead of waiting for a pull.

You could if you created a sheet with the following columns

Dashboard name, link to dashboard, assigned to (those receiving the dashboard), then create a recurring alert that provides the link?

Appreciate it is not the same as a report schedule but that would still work without a pdf and they would get a link and see the update?

Agree it would be great if dashboard links could be sent as reminders
