Time Extension
My answer could be very simple. Im trying to figure out a way to log extension time in the task sheets.
I would like to have my new column called extension to affect my finished date. I'm not sure if the predecessor column does the same thing but honesly i cant understand the workflow around it.
STAR-->FINISH.... EXT DATE. = UPDATE FINISH COLUMN

I think what you're looking for is an additive column. So if you had a text/number column called Extension that had the number of days you would extend a task, the Updated Finish Column formula would look like:
=[Finish Date]@row + Extension@row

Yes. That would work. But how is that achieved?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you clarify?
If you have a finished date, then all you need to do is add your extension column and put in how many days you want to extend until the updated finish. If you default all the values to 0, then the default will be that the updated finish column is the same as the initial finish column.
