Policy Acknowledgement Form
Any ideas on how I can send my employees a new company policy and have them acknowledge that they have read it? I tried using a simple form and adding the policy in the "Help Text" box but it's too long and the text was divided into several fields. Doesn't look very professional.

Hi Greg,
There's actually lots of ways to do this.. here are a couple that I can think of off the top of my head:
a) send the policy as an attachment with a link in your email stating once you have reviewed the policy, click on the link to acknowledge receipt and that you have read and understand the policy. The link would open a smartsheet form where they would simply "check" the acknowledgement. You could have them login to complete - which would take care of capturing their name, date, time, policy "hidden field".
b) if you want to use smartsheet to track who the email was sent to .. list of contacts in a sheet with a trigger to send an alert, and in that alert is a link to the policy for them to review and a link to acknowledge. In this case the policy just needs to live somewhere they can access and the acknowledgement would be a link to a form as above.

Part I left out is a lookup from the list of people you sent it to to the list of who responded via the form to check off those that still need to complete. You could automate the reminders based on age etc.

Thanks Darrin. I was hoping I could just send the form via an alert, have the policy appear in it's entirety directly on the form , and then allow the user to acknowledge via the submit button.
We are a construction company with most workers out in the field...trying to make the process as easy as possible for them without having them open additional links.
Thanks again,
Greg
