Secret Pal Question

Hello,

We've set up a form for our Secret pal at work. I was wondering has anyone ever got the auto (random) generate to work where it assigns those who participate a random person to be their secret pal. We know we can do this manually to have someone who is not participating assign them but I wondered if anyone has tried to do this and it works? Thank you in advance.

Hi Carol,

Set up a separate grid that contains a contact column with the names of those participating. Then use vlookup or index(match) and a random number between 1 to the Count of your contact list grid. Generate the random number and then use it to pick from your contact list.
