Holding A Column Position in VLOOKUP Formula

Issue = Within my VLOOKUP formula =VLOOKUP([Example]1, {Test}, 16) the column position is 16. If at some point a column is inserted to the left of column 16 in sheet {Test} then my VLOOKUP formula returns incorrect data!

Question = Is it possible to get my VLOOKUP formula to hold to the column itself rather than its number position?

That is one of the downsides of VLOOKUP.

If possible, I'd recommend using an INDEX/MATCH instead.
