Update request to multiple contacts
Hello everyone
I would like to use update request in a specific way and I can't find how to set up the automation, here is the use case :
- I have a update request triggered when a new row is added
- I have multiple contacts in my contact column, so the update request is sent to multiple people
- I would like that once one of the contact have updated data, the other contacts are not able to make update request.
The problem is that today If a contact answer to an update request, the others still have the possibility to also make updates.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas to do this ?
Thank you very much,
Corentin

How have you set up the workflow?
If I'm not mistaken if you send the update request to multiple contacts in the same step in the workflow, and one answers, it would complete the process, and no one else can submit the request.
Make sense?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hello @Andrée Starå
Yes I have just tested again, and even if someone has completed the update request, other people can aslo modify data.
In contrast, the people that has made the update request can not do it again as you mentionned.
Maybe there is a way to lock this ?

Yes, you're correct.
Maybe it has changed, or I was thinking about the Approval Requests.
A possible solution could be to lock the row after the first update.
Would that work?

The problem is that this row can be updated later in the workflow process, so I can not lock the row, I was thinking maybe about locking the update request directly if it is possible ?
Thank you for your help on these subject,

Happy to help!
I meant that you could lock the row after the first Update Request has been answered/updated, so nobody else can submit. You can unlock the row after a while if needed.
Would that work?
