I am new to Smartsheet and trying to setup an Inventory Management system. We are a gravel and construction company that has multiple products in multiple pits. I am looking for the best way to setup a sheet that uses a form the operators can fill in that would populate the data sheet. Then I think I would need another master sheet that would pull the info from the data sheet to give me a live running inventory system. Not sure if this is something that can be done or not.
Hi @Michael Payment
Smartsheet would be perfect for this use-case.
Here are some templates that could work or be an excellent starting point.
Would any of those options work/help?
I hope that helps!
Let me know if I can help in any way!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

@Andrée Starå have you had any issues with smartsheet not finding the barcode? I have entered multiple barcodes into Smartsheet and no luck when I use my app to "search" for the barcode. I even tried it with your "Barcode Inventory" template. I scan the barcode with the SS search feature on my iphone, and it keeps saying "no results." I have made sure there are not any filters in my search. App is also up to date.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
