Automated Move Rows sometimes creates DUPLICATES or even 3 copies of a row moved
Has anyone else come across this when having set up to automatically move rows to another sheet that it sometimes create 2 or even 3 copies of a row.

Strange!
Can you see something that makes sense in the Activity Log?
If you haven’t already, I would recommend that you reach out to the Smartsheet Support Team.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I just checked the logs. very Interesting...
The sheet where the move originated shows 1 move of 19 rows
And the sheet where the rows are being moved to shows 3 moves.
There is no automation on this sheet.
1st move 19 rows, 19 rows locked
2nd move 17 rows, 17 rows locked
3rd move 17 rows, 15 rows locked

@info.isaackwikcut92946 - Did you find an answer to your questions?
@Genevieve P. - Am facing the same issue. I have created automated workflow to move rows from one sheet to another. But sometimes it is creating duplicates within the same sheet or in another sheet. Modified by column shows modified by "automation@smartsheet.com"

Hi @Nancy Patel
Is it possible that you have more than one copy row or move row worklow set up? If there's only the one workflow, could you post a screen capture of how you have it configured? (But please block out sensitive data)
Cheers!
Genevieve

@Genevieve P. - So I have two intake sheets. 1. Unfunded Project sheet 2. Funded Project sheet. Both have automated workflows which can push the project from 1 sheet to another.
Funded Project sheet- Has only funded projects but when leadership team decides that unfunded project needs to be prioritized over funded projects then this funded project moves to unfunded project sheet.
Unfunded Project sheet - When the unfunded project gets funding it is pushed to funded project sheet. So there is workflow for moving it to funded project sheet.
Does this create an issue?

Hi @Nancy Patel
Without seeing any of your set-up, I would say that it sounds like the Triggers on your two workflows are finding more rows than you potentially had intended, which is why you're seeing duplicates.
If you'd like help sorting this out we would need to see screen captures of both sheets and full screen captures of your two workflows, but please block out any sensitive information (such as emails). Another option would be to book a Pro Desk session if your plan has access to it, to go through your set-up on a 30-minute screen share coaching session. Here's more information on Pro Desk.
Cheers,
Genevieve
