Why is the QR Code asking me to log into Smartsheet to complete a form?
I have created surveys that associates can scan on their mobile device after each class but the QR code no longer links them to the form. When scanned with a mobile device the associate is asked to either download the Smartsheet app or log into their account. None of the associates have a Smartsheet account and should not have to download it to take the survey. Is there a work around for this? I noticed someone else has inquired about this as far back as October.

Maybe that is the problem. When scanning the code it picks up that the app is installed on your phone and requires you to sign into the app (not necessarily into smartsheet). Do the other users have the app installed?

Check your form settings to see if the option to capture who is filling out the form is turned on. If it is, it requires that users sign in.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your quick response but it is not turned on to require them to log in and is still not working.

Please review screenshot below of what happens when a QR Code is scanned using my camera.

Hmm... Have you double checked the URL that the QR code is linked to?

I removed the app from my phone and had no trouble scanning the code and opening directly into the form.

Oh man, BINGO! That's the answer. After looking at multiple other threads for a solution, nobody had mentioned this. I am certain 99% of my users don't have SS on their phone, and now that I saw this and tested it with a phone not having the app, I am good to go. Thanks, Paul!

Bringing this back in hopes for insight. We have tons of users that have Smartsheet on their devices across our hospital system. We use QR codes for almost all our forms. Having users needing to log into the app to complete the form defeats the purpose of having this streamlined. Is there a way that you know of for form users to have the App on their devices, not be logged in, and be able to get directly into the form?
