Does anyone have any advice or best practices to backup a smartsheet sheet used as an inventory database with formulas and multiple workflows?

Hope you are fine, i think the easiest way is to save a copy of your sheet with ( Save as new ) and rename it as per date of backup, check the following screen shoot :
