We are experiencing issues with the new report structure.

On one of our dashboards, the report wasn't working. It's only showing 1 filter. The other 2 filters set up show up with the info but t hey are rimmed in red.

A message shows up about completing the filter criteria. You can see that I confirmed it for Parent Row before this screenshot and now it's showing 2 filters.

Anyone else having this issue? Is there a way for the system to recognize the underlying structure without me having to do it manually?ย

    Hi @Melitta King,

    I can see that you've looped in our Support Team on this and the behavior has been logged as a Bug. Our teams are actively investigating these issues with the Filter Criteria in the new Report interface and, while I don't have a timeframe to provide for when this will be resolved, they're looking to roll out a fix as quickly as possible.

    Yes we are also experiencing this same issue. When was this change to Report Builder rolled out by Smartsheet?

    Unfortunately, we were told we were the only company experiencing issues with the new report builder. We are currently going through all of our reports to fix them manually. It's a lot of unexpected work.

    I saw your comment that you are also having issues and I thought tag you, hoping to shed a little more light on this.

    There is some progress on this issue. Yesterday, (12/16), in fixing this problem of the filter criteria we had to manually update by choosing 'is equal to', enter the # and click ok.

    Today, (12/17), to fix manually you enter the # and click ok. It's a bit less work for each filter that the system is not recognizing.

    This week, the work to manually fix filter criteria in reports continues. Some are completely missing criteria.

    This report for a Red Task widget was missing the Parent Row/ is equal to/ 0 filter and yet that filter is still in other reports like this on the same dashboard. There doesn't seem to be a pattern which means we have to update each and every report.

    We are also seeing this issue. There is no drop-down available for the selected column so using the current user filter is impossible.

    Not sure if this is the issue you're having, but the Current User option is under the "Has" options.

    Thank you. I appreciate your message that it's been noted as a bug and it's being worked on.


    I look forward to the fix, even though we will have manually reconfirmed all of the reports we have. I look forward to getting to know the positive aspects of the new report builder.
