Feature Request: timestamp() function

I like "TIMESTAMP()".



I don't know why we couldn't just add a "Stop" formula, so formulas just run ONE time, then never run again.  That would be applicable to many scenarios.  



TODAY() - [Date]1, Stop

Something like that Smartsheet gurus!  This can't be that hard.

What Colin Entrekin stated on his post, is exactly what management has indicated to me. I've spent time letting everyone know how great SmartSheets would be when we switch over.  Well we finally switched over and are now I find myself constantly struggling to resolve issues like timestamping when a task is completed once it has been checked off as completed. Turns out users and management are becoming impatient and soon disappointed with this product. I vote to prioritize this feature ASAP and notify the users when to expect it.

I would also like to see this feature included. We are building a sheet with forms to log service calls at my company. We would like to have a simple checkbox for start time and end time. Both of which could timestamp another field box associated with it.
