Control Center- Global updates to Dashboards

When I make a global change to a dashboard it duplicates the dashboard in the folder, I am building 200 plus dashboards which must be updated centrally so cannot have duplications.

Have a missed a step, appreciate any feedback asap!!

When you run a global Update Dashboards, a copy of the original dashboard is created as a backup (BAK) for your reference in case you'd like to rollback these changes. There currently isn't a way to turn off these backup copies. You may want to set up a separate workspace or folder to store them.

For more information about this, see the Help Center article on updating Dashboards (here) that states:

NOTE: Control Center overwrites over your dashboards, but it also makes a backup of the original dashboard before it runs the update. It’s stored in the same location as the original dashboard—you can refer to it if you need to roll back changes.
