Dashboard - showing tasks/projects for a particular month or product

I have sheet which has a column shows upcoming improvements (projects) to products, another multi-select column which states which products are affected, and then another column for the target release month of that improvement.

Is it possible in a dashboard to have the ability to have a drop down to select a particular month and it pulls data from that sheet showing all the upcoming improvements in that month? Or it shows the improvement of the current month?

Is it also possible to do something similar but having the ability to have a list of the products taken from the multi-select column from the sheet and then that shows the upcoming improvements of the particular product?

Getting my head around how dashboards work so any help appreciated.

It's possible to create something similar, but it's fairly advanced to set it up.

Do you have an example of how I can do this please? Or have a suggestion for something that it is easier to set up but may still do what I need?
