Contacts and email addresses
I'm new to Smartsheet. Just created an intake process for department requests. In the approval process I want to alert the requester of the status. Do they need to be a contact in the form? Only 1500 of our 28000 employees are licensed so only they are showing up in the contacts. Doesn't look like an email address will work for the workflow. Thank you.

No, they don't have to be. They only need to add their email address to the form's contact field, and you'd use that for the Approval. (Depending on the permission settings)
