How to pull rows from a different sheet only if they're marked as "in progress" ?
Hi there,
I'm looking for a way to pull rows from another sheet if they are marked as "in progress" (or any other status that's not "complete"). Ideally, I'd want to pull everything from that row and not just a single cell.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Ok. How about a filter that hides everything that is "Complete"?

What exactly do you mean by "Pull"? Are you trying to copy them, move them, other?

Hi Paul,
Sorry for the confusion! I am essentially wanting to copy them into a new sheet. Let me know if I can provide any other info.

Have you looked into the "Copy Row" Automation?

Yes, but when I change the status to "Complete" in the source sheet, I would want it to go away from the secondary sheet. When I tried the "Copy Row" Automation tool, it didn't update the secondary sheet whenever I changed the status to "Complete".
Am I using this function incorrectly? Is there a way to add/remove rows from another sheet as the status changes in real time? I've also noticed that the "Copy Row" tool doesn't keep the formatting/indentations.

Hi @Marina Han
To add to Paul's excellent advice/answer.
You could use cross-sheet formula instead (VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH) or in combination with the copied row, and then if you mark anything complete on the main sheet, it would do the same on the second one.
Then you could use a filter as suggested by Paul to hide the completed items.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I'd love to learn more about INDEX/MATCH. I've done some research, but my formulas come back as unparseable.
What formula would I use if I want to pull Columns A & B from Sheet 1 into Sheet 2?
Thanks, all!
