Restrict form dropdown selection to subset of column permitted values

Hi all. I'm trying to accomplish is I want to restrict a form drop down to a subset of the values that the corresponding sheet column permits. For instance, let's say the column in the sheet allows values: red, green, blue. However, I want the form to just allow red and green. I can't seem to make these restricted values differ.

You'll have to add so-called helper columns to make it work. Another way could to add a message that shows if they select a value that isn't ok.
