Character limits on Column Properties

Hello,
I am new to Smartsheet and require an urgent help on the following issue:
I have set up an "Approval" and "Update" workflow for my form, so I receive correct email notifications based on workflow triggers. However, in the email, the questions (column headers) are not fully displayed in the form due to character limit in the column properties (e.g. dropdown and check box) settings. In order for entire text to display, I have added the text in the "label" instead of "field settings" in the form.
My question is if there is a way to increase the characters limit on column properties and display the entire question in the email notification and when requesting an update (currently, the fields become available to edit but the questions/text is being cut up)?

One thing that might help could be to use the placeholder feature combined with so-called helper columns to show the whole question in the message.
