Changing multiple row on app

Hi All,

So we use smart sheets for controlling where parts are kept. we might have a box of 20 parts that all have their own row which has a barcode on it.

We then put a box number against all the rows. When we move that box i want to be able to change the "location" cells to where the box it. Ie in the workshop or at a contractors.

On the computer i can just filter by the box then change the location cells to the appropriate location.

In the app there is no filter function. Is there an easier way to do this?

There actually is the filter feature in the app.

Click on the three dots at the top right.

Make sure that the filter is shared.

Another way would be to create multiple reports, one for each location.

You could also have a barcode/QR code on the boxes and change from that if that made sense.

I'd be happy to take a quick look and see if I have any other ideas.

Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Here is a screen shot of the sheet.

We have the parts in the boxes all barcoded. We have multiple projects running with an "inventory sheet" for each project.

The issue I am trying to solve is to be able to change the location of lots of parts easily. The location of part column is a drop down menu.

How many locations do you have that you can select in the Location of part column?

about 5 or 6. The most ideal thing is to make sure we can do it easily on the app as that what everyone has on their phone.

I would create a filter for each location and maybe also reports.

To make it simpler to change the location, I'd add checkbox columns for each, and if needed, you could have a formula in the dropdown list to reflect the location there.

Make sense?
