Formatting Tool Bar

I can't figure out how to make my formatting bar show up, including the save icon. It's like it's closed but as you can see by the comparison picture, the carrot to open it up.

I remembered I saw a similar post last year

If you haven't already, you might want to open another tab, call up the same sheet, save it, then refresh/close the tab that is giving you problems. The post I reference indicates that the problem seems to be isolated to the tab where the glitch occurs.

Thanks. I had done that but alas, I went back to IT 101...I cleared my cache and cookies and rebooted. It's back. Thanks for the quick response!
