QR Code data to Smartsheet

We intend to scan a QR code wherein data content is just Name of the Employee for attendance purposes and we want it to be stored directly in the Smartsheet after scanning for consolidation, monitoring and reporting purposes. This will be done on daily basis. Any idea how to do it?

Building on Andrée's suggestion of using a QR code with pre-filled info, you might find this info useful

You can find QR Code generators through an internet search. Build the string you desire then enter that into the QR generator.

There are a couple of ways to do it.

• You could scan a QR code that opens a form with pre-filled information and submit it.
• You could use the Smartsheet App on mobile to scan the code in a cell and that would populate the cell with the name.
