Request an Update Workflow


I don't get why the Request an Update workflow does not have a "Save Response in" option similar to an approval workflow.

Upon decline, I want the response of the approver (ie the reason for the decline) to be recorded to a specific column (say: Approval Status) and when the person sending the original approval, corrects the issue and provides a response (ex: Fixed the issue), I want this response to override the previous response in the Approval Status column and get recorded there.

Can someone post a workflow to achieve this? Thanks,

    Hope you are fine, in the update request you define the fields that you want it to be updated so you can add the Approval Status field if it isn't in your original sheet as a helper column in the sheet then include that field in your update request.
