Forms - Access control and security

Hi all,

Is there an add-on or any plans to create an access control process for forms? Currently the only security setting is that users should log in, but that means anyone with a Smartsheet login. We need to be able to set access for forms like we can with sheets or workspaces.

Given the new GDPR laws and requirements, it seems like this is an urgent to-do. I am currently sitting with a couple of vital organisational forms that we need to relook as they include contact details (but without those contact fields the workflow automation falls apart, in which case we now just have a fancy Excel sheet...)

Great idea! That would be a great addition to Smartsheet features.

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

As a possible workaround, you could embed the form on a Dashboard/Portal or similar.

Which Smartsheet plan do you have?

Would that work/help?

Hi Andree, I realised I hadn't responded and didn't want to leave you hanging ;)

I submitted the enhancement request as suggested. For the time being, though, the email validation option that was added helps somewhat - at least now I can validate the entries to lessen errors due to capturing mistakes.
